Do The Right Thing At The Denver Turkey Trot

Turkey Trot Denver COGet moving for a good cause at the Mile High United Way Turkey Trot in Denver, CO!

It’s a well known fact that turkey makes you sleepy.  Sure, we can blame it on all the tryptophan that this holiday bird contains, but the real reason Thanksgiving dinner throws so many of us into a state of lethargy is that we eat a little (or a lot) more than usual. Who can blame us? Thanksgiving is one of the most delicious meals of the year!

Since you know you’ll likely spend your Thanksgiving evening relaxing, that leaves the morning for fitting in your physical activity. The local Turkey Trot gives you the chance to not just do the right thing for your body, but also for your community!

The Mile High United Way Turkey Trot will be celebrating its 42nd year when it kicks off on Thanksgiving Day this year. Held in Washington Park, this Trot is perfect for people of all activity levels since you can either run or walk this beautiful 4-mile course.

The start village has plenty of activities and coffee to motivate you to get moving, and the finish village will reward you for your energy with giveaways, a beer garden, and fun booths.

The Turkey Trot isn’t just for your physical health, either. It also keeps your community healthy since proceeds go to help Mile High United Way work towards increased high school graduation rates, childhood literacy, and economic self sufficiency for local individuals and families. Register today!

We hope to see you at this great Denver event!
