Tips for Keeping Your Spooky Goblin’s Halloween Costume Safe

Tips for Keeping Your Spooky Goblin's Halloween Costume SafeWith Halloween only a few days away, it is time to start preparing your child’s Halloween costume. As cute as your princess’ train dress may be, it can actually cause them to trip and hurt themselves. We want your child’s Halloween costume to be adorable, spooky, and safe, which is why we gathered these important Halloween costume safety tips:

  • Any costume can be hemmed for safety. Make sure that your super hero’s cape is a few inches off the ground.
  • Each costume should be equipped with reflective tape, glow sticks, or some other form of illumination. The roads are extremely dangerous on Halloween, especially if your child’s costume decreases visibility.
  • Make sure that your child’s Halloween costume is not flammable. The last thing you want is for a dangerous situation to arise when your child’s costume goes up in flames after they walk too close to a Jack-o-Lantern.
  • Make sure that your child’s costume props are flexible and not sharp. All accessories and props should be made of flexible material such as foam or soft plastic.
