You Can Now View Your Pinnacol Claim Information Online!

Pinnacol Assurance is now providing claim-related information directly to injured workers through a new Web-based application. As part of their expended focus on supporting injured workers, they have created an online application that provides 24/7 access to:

  • The name and contact information of the designated Pinnacol claims representative and other key Pinnacol staff
  • Information to help explain and navigate the workers' compensation process
  • Benefit check information, including payment details and the scheduled mailing date of subsequent checks
  • Medical information, including bills, records and correspondence from medical providers
  • Claim-related correspondence from Pinnacol

Access to the injured worker online application is available by going to the home page of Pinnacol.com and selecting "View My Claim" under the Employee heading. Injured workers who prefer not to access information online can continue to contact Pinnacol by phone and e-mail. Providing online access is only meant as an additional convenience.

The satisfaction, health and safety of injured workers are integral to Pinnacol's vision of being the best worker's compensation company in the nation and has always been central to their work. This new application reflects that commitment.

Additional information regarding this new online application is available on Pinnacol.com and will be added to Pinnacol's claim microsite in the near future.

Nonprofit Spotlight: Crossroads Safehouse

For 30 years in Northern Colorado, abused womand and children have come to Crossroads Safehouse in Fort Collins.  They have found safety, shelter, and the personal assistance and resources they need to build lives without violence.

Crossroads Safehouse could house 13 people in a 100-year-old house when it opened in 1980. This house was remodeled and added to in 1987 and 1994, creating a building that housed the Safehouse and staff offices. Eventually, it evolved into 14 bedrooms that slept 29 people, often squeezed bed to bed. Though woefully too small for many years, we have been grateful to the city of Fort Collins for the use of this facility because it has helped save more than 11,000 lives over the past 30 years.

Recently, Crossroads moved into a new 104-bed, state-of-the-art Safehouse located at 421 Parker Street in Fort Collins. The road to this safe place has been paved with the vision of Bill Locklear, who approached Crossroad's Board of Directors with the idea for a larger Safehouse and said he would help to make this happen, and he did. Donations of more than $6,134,000 from foundations, government, individuals and other entities, including the building, which was donated by Columbine Health Systems funded the project, along with hard work from countless volunteers and in-kind gifts from members of the community worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Justin Larson, now of Vaught Frye Larson Architects, donated his creative, "green" and mission-driven architectural services, Mary Kennedy of Re-Fine Design donated her unparalleled interior design services, and Alesa Locklear donated her time as the tireless liaison between Crossroads and dozens of reconstruction entities, a gigantic and uniquely critical undertaking. Each of these individuals donated more than several years' worth of their time, toil and talent to this important project.

Crossroads Safehouse shares a huge and heartfelt "thank you" for this community effort, the result of which will be lives freed from the horror of domestic violence for decades to come.

Mary Anne Paul is the Sustainability and Development Director at Crossroads Safehouse. For information or to purchase tickets to Crossroads' 31st Anniversary Gala on November 5, 2011, please call (970) 530-2353 or visit their website at www.crossroadssafehouse.org.
